Insert Quranic Verses into Word Instantly – A Powerful Tool for Scholars and Writers

Introduction

In the digital age, Islamic scholars, writers, and content creators need smart tools to help them work faster and more accurately. That’s where Mushaf Word comes in — a powerful Word add-in that allows you to insert Quranic verses directly into your Microsoft Word document with just one click, using the Uthmani script of the Madinah Mushaf.

Whether you’re preparing a research paper, a sermon, an educational resource, or Islamic content for publishing, this tool simplifies the process while preserving the highest level of accuracy and elegance.

Insert a Verse with Just One Word

With Mushaf Word, inserting a Quranic verse is as easy as typing a word from the verse. Simply type a full or partial word and press the ESC key (or Ctrl + Shift + A) to search the Quran. If your entry matches only one verse, the program will insert it directly. If the word appears in multiple verses, you’ll get a list of all matches to choose from.

Examples:

  • Type حوبا and press ESC → The program will insert Surah An-Nisa (4), verse 2, the only verse containing this exact word.
  • Type اتقوا → Since it appears in many verses, the program will present a list for you to select from.
  • Type part of a word, like فسيكف → The program will match it with فسيكفيكهم in Surah Al-Baqarah (2), verse 137.

This smart search capability makes it easy to find the exact verse you need — even with limited input.

Multiple Insertion Methods

The plugin supports different ways to insert Quranic text, depending on your workflow:

  1. By Surah and Verse Number
Choose a Surah and a specific verse number for precise insertion.
  2. Insert a Range of Verses
Select the starting and ending Surahs and verse numbers to insert a full passage.
  3. Insert a Full Page from the Mushaf
Use the original page numbers from the Madinah Mushaf to insert one or several pages of Quran. You can choose to include the page inside a bordered frame or as plain text.

Important Note: Each page in the Madinah Mushaf belongs to a single Surah. For example, page 30 contains verses only from Surah Al-Baqarah, not a mix of Surahs.

Flexible Verse Formatting

After inserting a verse, you have full control over how it appears:

  • Customizable Reference Format:
Choose whether to show the verse reference inline, on a new line, or in the document’s footnote. You can also decide whether to enclose the verse number in brackets or not.
  • Choose Verse Brackets:
Select from four different decorative brackets to frame the verse beautifully.
  • Color Settings:
    You can color:
    • Diacritical marks (tashkeel)
    • Pause marks (waqf signs)
    • Verse numbers
    • Prostration symbols (sajdah)

Designed for Designers Too

Once a verse is inserted and styled, you can copy it to the clipboard for use in external design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or InDesign. This makes it ideal for creating printed materials, infographics, posters, or books that include Quranic verses in perfect calligraphy.

Additional Features

You can also automatically insert introductory phrases like:

  • “Bismillah” (بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ)
  • “I seek refuge…” (أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ)
  • “Allah Almighty said” (قال تعالى)

These can be added before the verse based on your preference.

Support for Students and Researchers

To make this tool accessible to everyone, especially those in Islamic studies or low-income regions, the software is available in two versions:

  • A subsidized version for students and scholars.
  • A standard version for general use — both offering the same core features and reliability.

You can get them both from our store page, designed to support your Quranic work without limitations.
